Community brain

You have a nice feeling when you are stuck on something and soon after that - as if someone has heard you, you see that problem being solved - and a solution popping up out of nowhere. Sometimes, its not the exact solution of what you were looking for - but it feels as if someone was actually eavesdropping your complains and heard you, heard you through the wall - broken phone - had to guess what you were looking for so they are not exactly right.

A friend 16 years ago (1996) was calling it the "community brain" and he actually was attempting to model as a multicasting lossy network of questions and answers.. (and patent it).

Anyway, the community brain today answered two questions of mine
- I was looking for a "Design Patterns"  book - but for Javascript. Hackernews answered today with a pretty close answer : http://shichuan.github.com/javascript-patterns
- A friend of mine have been trying to find an easy way to have a preview mode for a client side github repository (where the whole repo can be viewed as a real site) - without having to go through the usual gh-pages branch ugliness etc. Hackernews answered today with something similar - not exactly what we were looking for - still useful in some cases : http://5minfork.com/
